Artists Statement
My images are about capturing
what I see. In each work I try to capture the spirit of time, place,
season, atmosphere and mood. My colors are bold and vibrant. My touch
is expressive.
I have always created both
paintings and photographs. I find photography often inspires me to paint
and painting helps me focus on ideas for photographs. Both are attempts
to capture the essence of what I see.
I continue to seek out natural
subjects that fulfill my love of the outdoors. I have always wanted
to be an artist. I have been creating paintings since I was eleven years
old. My "plein air" works inspire me in my studio in Needham,
Massachusetts.
