The artwork in this series represent my experiences as a deaf woman in a world that constantly pulls me back and forth. I chose images that are easy to recognize and interpret the life I lead as a deaf woman and the obstacles I often face. The themes of unity and balance are present, speaking to my affinity with quilt making in both traditional and modern styles and my personal history of constantly dealing with changes between the deaf and hearing worlds.
